As Advocacy and Strategic Collaborations Specialist, Frederick represent Stand Up To Cancer’s (SU2C) patient advocacy to external audiences to build relationships with key advocacy and professional organizations with the express purpose of fostering and furthering collaborative efforts that increase awareness, education and engagement around cancer clinical trials. He creates communication strategies to engage and educate internal and external stakeholders about the crucial role that patient advocates play in the complex cancer research continuum. Frederick is the project manager for the SU2C Health Equity Committee comprised of top cancer researchers, advocates, and thought leaders working to develop formal guidance related to SU2C-supported clinical trials. Additionally, he provides broad support for SU2C’s comprehensive clinical trials Public Service Campaign, Stand Up For Us All, and the accompanying website, StandUpToCancer.org/ClinicalTrials. Frederick is a Board-Certified Patient Advocate having received his BCPA certification from the Patient Advocate Certification Board in 2018.
